We have made the six hour flight and arrived in Hononlulu. Sadly we did not make our separately booked flight to Hilo on the big island so we are stuck at the airport for two hours. Though at this point it is only thirty more minutes. The plane looks like it will be a puddle hopper which I haven't been on in ages. We will take pictures for sure but likely won't be able to share any until we get back.
Once in Hilo we have a two mile walk in eighty degree weather to the hotel. Our first planned activity is tomorrow when we go to a hot pond (whose name I forget) and Mauna Kea in an SUV we are renting for that purpose.
